No nation survives such a vast widening wealth gap!

“It’s getting worse every year. In 2023, the top 0.1%, that is 330 thousand people, were holding $18 trillion, whereas 165 million people held only $3.44 trillion. What was that 0.1% of the population owning in 1990, just 33 years ago? They owned $1.8 trillion, and the bottom 50% of the population owned $0.77 trillion. That means the top 0.1% had a little over double the net worth of the bottom 50% in 1990, whereas it’s now almost five times more. So, the gap is clearly widening at an alarming rate. No civilization or nation (again, not an enslaving or colonizing empire) has ever survived such a vast widening gap in wealth”
